The Winter School in Hybrid Arts Methodology returns to the Athens School of Fine Arts Annex on the island of Hydra for a week-long immersive program that brings together postgraduate students and faculty for collaborative academic exploration, artistic experimentation, and intensive research development. Running from November 24 to 28, 2025, the Winter School provides a dedicated environment where emerging researchers engage directly with leading practitioners in hybrid arts, media archaeology, performance, sound, sustainability, bioart, and critical theory. The Winter School in Hybrid Arts Methodology is co-organized by the InArts Lab of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts - Ionian University on behalf of the Master of Research in Hybrid Arts (MARes) and the C’ Sculpture Studio of the Athens School of Fine Arts. The program operates within a framework of Social Ethics that fosters respectful communication, inclusivity, and accessibility.

Ionian University Supported Art Researcher Explores Indigenous Dance as Anti-Colonial Resistance

Ghazal Ramzani, a Berlin-based Iranian dancer and choreographer, has completed groundbreaking research connecting indigenous dance practices to anti-colonial and ecological movements across Europe supported by Ionian University. Ramzani, who received funding through the Rewilding Cultures Mobility Conversation program in 2024, traveled by train across Europe to interview practitioners of indigenous dances rooted in resistance movements. Ramzani holds a Master of Fine Arts in Contemporary Performative Arts from the University of Gothenburg and received formal training in Kathak dance at the National School of Kathak in New Delhi. She was previously awarded the Indian Council of Arts and Culture recognition and the Artisens Vanner scholarship.

TTTfellows is organized by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, within the framework of Rewilding Cultures, a project co-financed by the European Union, and will be hosted in collaboration with the Corfu Central Public Historical Library - Corfu Tech Lab, the Corfu Aquarium and BiHELab.

AV-school, the series of seminars and workshops of the Audiovisual Arts Festival, will be held at the Public Central Historic Library at Corfu from May 28th to May 31st, 2024. AV-School 2024 theme is “Impressions” and it celebrates the Department of Audio and Visual Arts’ 20th Anniversary. The program is open to all those interested in contemporary art issues and new technologies, focusing this year in topics related with film, performance art, radio, gaming and art research.
